Just what exactly is this H.O.P.E.?
Good question! H.O.P.E is the parents organization for Heyworth Elementary School that meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Heyworth Elementary Library. As parents we work closely with our school to meet some of the needs of our school.
Mission:
H.O.P.E. is a volunteer organization that improves the educational environment for Heyworth Elementary School.
On an annual basis H.O.P.E. purchases classroom equipment such as SMARTboards, iPads, teacher grants, classroom supplies, Hornet Pride shirts for every student and staff member, playground equipment, upkeep of the butterfly garden, end of the year student awards, and so much more.
H.O.P.E. also puts on school activities such as the Hornet Walk, Santa Breakfast, Play Day, various assemblies, Staff Appreciation Week, and conference meals for teachers and staff.
H.O.P.E. also participates in PBIS and Box Tops for Education.
